Professor Dirk Brounen
Taking a step back to connect new dodds
Professor dr. Brounen graduated at Maastricht University, received his PhD at the University of Amsterdam, worked as a research scholar at Berkeley University, after which he joint the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam as a Professor of Real Estate Finance.
Today, Dirk holds a dual appointment as a Professor of Real Estate Economic at Tilburg University, both at the School of Economics and TIAS Business School. There he works on his research on: Mapping the risk of real estate investments, on modelling sustainable real estate values, and on assessing the behavioral effects of real estate regulations. Topics, that he enjoys to teach to his students and on which he advices firms and governments across Europe. In 2017, Dirk also published a Dutch best seller novel on “personal finance and happiness”, in which he discusses the science of financial wellbeing.
Today, he will share with us some of his positive experiences in European real estate research coalitions.
